  1. There is plenty of work on the Gold Coast for those professions, although you would have to be qualified to get work here. The trouble is the wages are quite low compared to the City and the cost of living high. The Gold Coast has its share of crime too. I live on the Sunshine Coast which is nicer but smaller and harder to find work. The schools are ok in Qld and there are some good uni's on the Gold Coast. It's a great Country but don't be fooled, there is lots of crime and plenty of drugs over here - so there are many problems too!Good Luck!

  2. The Gold Coast is fantastic place to live and plenty of work for those trades, but you would have to become qualified. Schooling is good, there are a number of schools ranging from public education to private, most with excellent repultations you can find info on them at http://education.qld.gov.au/

There is different types of areas to from hinterland to beaches so plenty of variety.

  3. The gold coast is an amazing place to live, i have lived here all my life.

There is a lot of trades work available here and tourism is also a huge part of the gold coast. You and your wife should be fine with finding jobs.

this website might be able to help you. You might also find it helpful to ring the gold coast bulletin ( newspaper ) to get a hold of a copy for yourself so you can flick through the career section to see the jobs available.

As for schools, we have some of the best schools in Queensland.

It depends on public or private, majority are private however there are some decent public ones too.

here is the complete list of public/ private - primary schools and high schools.

You should be able to flick through there to see ones that are within range from where you will be living and suits what you are looking for.

i hope you enjoy your time on the gold coast :)

  4. http://www.goldcoast.com.au/  Take a browse through the Gold Coast bulletins site . Most people love it here and would not wish to go back  to there country. there is plenty of work for those professions . http://www.goldcoast.com.au/gold-coast-b...  The schools are good but like anywhere one needs eyes in the back of their heads when bringing up teenagers . Visit the schools when you come over and chat to the head master/mistress. My neice who is 15 recently changed schools because she wasn't happy with some bullies at her school but now she is happy.
