  1. In 1856, three-year-old Fisherman won 23 races: he also won 21 in each of the next two flat-racing seasons. The post war record is 16 held by Provideo (1984) and Timeless Times (1990), both two-year-olds trained by Bill O'Gorman. The record for a filly or mare is 21 by Alice Hawthorn in 1874 and Lilian 30 years later.

  2. I am not claiming this as a record but Beeswing won 51 out of 64 races including the Newcastle Cup six years in succession
