Can anyone tell where to geta cockatail?

ive been looking for a hand feed baby cockatail male but havent found one.if anyone can tell me where? i can get one that would be great .

Well if your in or near PA I have some and there less than half the price at a pet store

Any pet stores probably. I would go to a bigger pet store like Petco. Professionals work there and know what they're doing. And I recently purchased a parakeet there and he is as healthy as he can be. They have great care for the animals there!!!

check local ads in the paper

you can find tons of breeders.

I personally don't like petstore birds

I got mine from a flea market from a lady who hand-fed them.

I went to a petstore and all their cockatiels were already full grown and MEAN! they wouldn't get near people and they bit really hard. Cockatiels tend to be less sociable around people when they're used to being around other birds.

Getting a single baby cockatiel...it has a chance to grow a better bond with you

Also...from a breeder...i got a bird for $30 and it was still a baby so i know i'll have it for a long time

but at the petstore, they didn't know how old their birds were and they were selling them for $120!

Most pet stores have them; if none of the smaller pet stores in your area seem to have any, try bigger stores like Petsmart or Petco. I've never seen one of those stores that didn't have cockatiels.

And if you really can't find a store that has 'tiels, try searching for cockatiel breeders online, or grab a BirdTalk magazine (you should be able to find one at a pet store, or a magazine section at a bookstore or grocery store)--in the back of a BirdTalk magazine there's always a large state-by-state index of breeders for different kinds of birds, listing contact information and what kinds of birds each breeder raises.
