  1. A good first time dish is Pad Thai. It's a noodle dish with egg, peanuts, green onion, etc. It's a favorite for a lot of people. Personally, I like Tom Yum soup and Fresh Rolls.

  2. for a first timer stick to:

    pad thai

    spring rolls

    fried rices

or sometimes some thai places will have the "drunken noodles". one of my faves

  3. I agree with Noelle and Greyhound girl : don' t miss Pad thai (thai noodles) and Tohm yam Goong (fish soup) or Tohm Yam Pla (fish soup) or Poh Tak (mixed seafood soup).

As appetisers, you can order fish or shrimp cakes, or Papaya Salad (my favorite one).

Other main courses that you can eat with white or fried rice :

    - Pad Gra Prao : fried minced chicken with basil and spices

    - Ho mok : steamed mixed seafood with coconut milk

    - Chicken with green curry

    - Fried Gang Goong (green vegetable) with oyster sauce

    - Beef with Matsaman curry

    - Pla sarm ros : deep fried fish with sauce and spices.

Please, don' t forget to ask the restaurant to serve all dishes very mild !

    Have a nice lunch !

  4. u should definately order flat noodles.. and try the soup with shrimp and lemon stuff in it (sorry I'm not being too specific). and i usually don't like fish at all.. but the fish in thai food restaurants are actually very good.. i like the one with mushrooms and onions

  5. Go for a tom yam soup followed by a thai green curry and a pad thai which is noodles with chopped peanuts on top.  Hot but completely delicious. You would need to like coconut milk though. They don't do desserts much so fill up on starter and mains.

  6. Go for red or green curry if you don't mind spicy

  7. Thai food can be hot,so I would ask the servers advice for your tastes, in there , Like sweet ,hot spicy, sour.
