Can anyone that's ever taken a class at college please help me?

I signed up 2 weeks ago to take a math class at college and the class was already full. I was put on a "wait list" and I was told that if anyone drops out of the class, then I have a chance at being able to register for it. So far, I'm still on the wait list and class starts tomorrow morning! Do I show up for class anyway? None of the counselors at the college told me what I am supposed to do, and I can't get in touch with anyone at the school since it's today is a holiday. What am I supposed to do? Please help! I still want to take the class.

  1. Show up and ask the professor to let you take the class.

  2. Yep, show up for the class anyway!  If you're high enough up on the wait list, you have a fairly good chance of getting in.  If it's a tiny class, explain your situation to the professor, they might be sympathetic and pull some strings to open up some spots in the course.  If you still aren't officially in the course by the time assignments are due, then you'll have to talk to the professor for sure and explain.

  3. You can still show up to the class, for you are indeed a student of the college. I'm sure within due course, a seat will be available. Also, you can get the Professor to override the waitlist, and place you in the class anyway, which is very easy to do. Good luck. :)

  4. You can always talk tot he Professor after the class or before and ask if they'll add you to the list. Sometimes they do this if you ask the right way

  5. Show up for the class because someone might end up dropping it, or if you show up the first day and are on the wait list, some instructors will let you add the class. Good luck!
