The reason for this question is to illustrate my fustration with the gas companies and the rising costs accosiated with gas as well as the fact that a major Canadian bank says the average price of a gas in Canada will be about $2.20 by the year 2012......

  1. Hybrids don't get better mileage.  It's all fluff.

I'm not saying you shouldn't make efforts to use less gas, but hybrids aren't helping.

High gas prices will help Canada's economy since they have as much in reserve as the Mid-East.

Don't blame the gas companies.  You want gas.  They provide it.  They are your friends.

  2. just get a scooter. I live in a city. my scooter gets me every where. one gallon last me like a whole week lol. s***w the oil companies. Bush's friends arent making more record braking profits on me anymore

  3. Check out TATA Nano if available in your country, which gives 54 miles per gallon.

  4. Ford focus they get like 32 MPG

  5. We have a 2002 Toyota Echo and it gets 41-44mpg on our daily commute, ours has a 5 speed standard tranny and is fairly comfortable as we have used it on longer trips (AZ to Texas) It has now been replaced by the Yaris which does NOT get as good mileage. the Echo has been a wonderful car and we did not have to pay the outrageous price that they are charging for the Hybrids. Try looking for a used Echo, as we did you will love it.
