I recently found an artist named Kerli (whom I LOVE!!) and she is from Estonia. One of her songs has a verse in Estonian but I can't find a good Estonian-English translator online. Could someone who speaks/understands Estonian and English translate this verse for me:

Põdral maja metsa sees

Väiksest aknast välja vaatab

Jänes jookseb kõigest väest

Lävel seisma jääb

Kopp-kopp lahti tee

Metsas kuri jahimees

Jänes tuppa tule sa

Anna käppa ka

The song is called "Creepshow."

  1. It's an Estonian children's song called Põdramaja (Reindeer's House or Elk's House) . Here's the translation:

Põdral maja metsa sees = The reindeer’s house is in the forest

Väiksest aknast välja vaatab = From a little window he looks out.

Jänes jookseb kõigest väest = A rabbit runs by,

Lävel seisma jääb = At the doorway he stops.

Kopp-kopp, lahti tee = Knock-knock, open the door,

Metsas kuri jahimees = In the forest there is an evil hunter.

Jänes tuppa tule sa = Rabbit, come on inside

Anna käppa ka = And give me your paw too.

The website below gives a slightly different translation (my translation above is more literal, but the translation below sounds better in English):

    http://artists.letssingit.com/kerli-lyri...

A reindeer has a little house in the forest

He's looking out from a small window

The rabbit is running towards the house

And he stops in the doorway

    Knock-knock, open up

There's an evil hunter in the forest

The reindeer says to the rabbit

Come inside and shake my hand
