I live in Bloomington IL, (Normal,IL touches it so that works too). I am looking for somewhere to either take riding lessons or to lease a horse. I did some searching on google but didn't have much luck, so I was hoping you guys could help me. I'd like it to be in about a 20-30 mile radius at most!! I am 19 so I don't know if that makes a difference in any of this. Thanks for your help everyone!

  1. Talk to people at your local stables. Good luck =D

  2. Here's what I found on a Google search. There seem to be a few in Bloomington.

  3. I would suggest looking in the yellow pages under stables, riding centers, and horse. Here is what I put into google and got:

    Raspberry Grove Equestrian Center - www.equi-coach.com - (309) 829-3150 - more

    B. Equiventure Stable - maps.google.com - (309) 275-2999 - more

    E. Holly Creek Horse & Carriage - www.hollycreekhorseandcarriage.com - (309) 963-4104 - more

    F. Timber Creek Stables - www.timbercreekstables.net - (309) 829-3000 - more

    G. Wellgreen Farm - www.wellgreenfarm.com - (309) 378-2124 - more

    H. Hunter Oaks Equestrian Center - www.hunteroaksfarm.com - (309) 376-7771 - more

    I. Breezy Bluff Riding Academy - maps.google.com - (309) 826-8999 - 1 review

  4. I would suggest talking to people at the local stables (yes actually go to any stable you see driving along the roads) and ask them if they know anything or if they do any of that. Post flyers in local stores (tack, grocery, etc) Definitely word of mouth is a good choice in the horse industry...just make sure your sources are legit. If you will be leasing a horse I would suggest still getting a vet to check out the horse before you sign any papers...could prevent some heartache in the future! Good Luck!
