From the News of the World today " Abramovich then offered Grant back his old Director of Football job on a new £2million-a-year, two-year deal.

But as Grant earned £3.5m a year as Chelsea boss, he was effectively being offered a £3m pay cut to stay at the club. "

I don't get the maths, have they got it completely wrong or am I missing something..........

  2. 2 years at £3.5m = £7m.

    2 years at £2 = £4m.

    7 - 4 = 3.

  3. £2million-a-year, two-year deal OR £3.5million-a-year

£1.5 million more per year x 2 years

    = £3 million pay cut

I think it might make sense, but im no good at riddles

    :P
