  1. Just tell him to get a yahoo ID, its not that hard

  2. if they don't have a Yahoo ID, they can send a blank e-mail to the subscribe address located at the bottom of your group home page. they'll then be a e-mail member only, meaning the groups page they wont be able to access.

if they have a yahoo ID already, all they need to do is add the AOL address on it (by the way, I have AOL and belong to groups)

go to this link- http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs click add email address on top left- follow steps and confirm address.

then go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Email Address click the arrow for the drop down box and select new address- click save changes

How do I join a group?

  3. I believe your friend needs a yahoo ID to join any Yahoo group and to be able to participate.

    Good luck to you both.
