Can asking the bank for a new card, stop fraudulent charges?

i gave my bank card number to a scam website..

they keep charging..

there is no way to get in touch with them to have stop charging?

what can i do, how do i report them?

  1. Call the bank and report the card lost. They will immediately shut down that card, then issue you a new one with different numbers.

    Just don't wait, the scammers are going to use it at their earliest convenience!


  2. call and cancel the card. Have them order you a  new card.  The new card will have a new  number and activity on the old card number will be rejected.  

    If you did not authorize them to make those add'l charges, fill out an affidavit of fraud with your bank and they will get you your money back.  

  3. I already answered one version of this. Yes call your bank , they can take steps to recover the funds from the merchant
