Can ativan cause double vision?

I'm 19 years old, i just recently started taking it about 2 weeks ago, they gave it to me at the ER because i have a really bad anxiety disorder and ive developed double vision, and blurred vision and i have headaches.

I hvae no insurance to get to the doctors or anything.... im scared.

  1. Anything like anti-anxiety drugs, sleeping pills and similar can cause some blurriness.  I seems you may be taking a bit too much.  Take your drugs to a local community clinic or urgent care center and possibly have them change the dosage.

Well if your taking ativan you shouldn't be doing much for awhile after except for sitting in your house.  Ativan can very well cause vision problems,  it just gets you stoned.  Though even though it can help anxiety be careful that it does not cause anxiety,  also only take half of what you have been taking ONLY when you need it because when you get a dependency for these things and it will happen fast then it can cause worse anxiety problems because you will have to take more of them then.  Though getting a dependency for these things aren't a big deal you just do .5 less every five days until you get to the desired dosage.  Try taking .5 less than you have been taking first and see how that works for you.

  3. Call the doc who prescribed it. Maybe you can cut the pills in half. Don't try this without checking first.
