  1. Autism is like anything else ...it depends on the individual...my son is autistic and eats most anything that doesn't bite him first...

He is somewhat a picky kind of eater, he likes it a certain way but..to answer your question Autistic people can eat meat!!!

  2. I think it depends on what the parent's prefer. I'm autistic, and I eat plenty of meat. It won't change anything if you eat certain foods (unless you are on a special diet.) I think certain parents allow certain kids to eat certain foods. That's just how it is.

  3. My son has eaten meat all his life, in fact he loves meat of all types, but I have to say he is not, nor ever has been, on the GWF diet

  4. Do you mean a gluten-free diet? You may have a different term for it than I've heard. Meat is fine on those diets, but watch for things like breading on chicken nuggets or fish sticks. They typically contain gluten and would therefore be off-limits, although you can buy gluten-free varieties if you shop carefully.

  5. Meat itself will not be a problem, but make sure it's organic!  The extra chemicals and addidtives they may put in the meat can affect them.  I hope the diet works!

  6. Autism is a diagnosis of a normal child with functional disabilities... no where in the diagnosis guidlines is there anything different about their diet. it is social, cognitive, and other factors. Yes he should eat eat meaat or other protein sources, depending on the severity and his ability to chew just make sure that it is cut into portions that he can chew without choking, alot of time cognitive thinking will not allow them time to chew their food to a digestable size.

  7. Oddly enough, autisitc children have the same organs as every other human being.

OF COURSE they can eat meat.

  8. My son 16 yr old son has autism and he eats meat.  In fact, over the last couple of years, his autism has gotten better.  I don't think meat is a bad thing.  He went from being 3 years old and non verbal to speaking now though he still has a speech problem. I wish you well with you son.

  9. If you can get your child to eat meat then yes do ..my son Thomas has severe autism and a very limited diet and i mean limited ..toast and mash..so if you can get him to eat it best of luck to you x

  10. My son is autistic, , do you mean the GFCF diet> I haven't heard of the GWF diet, is that Gluten and Whey Free diet???

  11. Yes, but if they are very severe alot of times they cant chew. So in that instance i wouldnt recommend it.. But as long as they can chew yes. You may need to cut the meet up in pieces
