Can auto insurance pay for damage caused by poles?

I have some damage on my vehicle that has been caused by various incidents consisting of a telephone pole and another parking pole. I did not report it to my insurance when it happened, but can I approach them to take take care of it now (after I pay my deductible?)

  1. Yes, as long as you carry collision coverage on your policy. Keep in mind that each incident that occurred is it's own claim. Your deductible will apply for each seperate occurrance. Additionally, these losses will be chargeable or at-fault.


  2. Poles, swedes, germans, canadians, you bet.

  3. If you have collision coverage -- then yes.

    However, each incident (i.e. each time you hit a pole) is a separate incident. That means, you will have to pay a deductible for each incident (each time you hit a pole).  You can't pay one deductible and have all the damage from separate incidents handled as one claim.
