  1. I have included two links to the USGBC's website for residential certification.  I must warm you the process is very complicated and will take alot of work on your part.  The second document includes the standards for applying for the LEED certification.  It is possible for the average home owner to do this, but it will require you to hire a third party reviewer.  Again it is quite a bit of work.  I am currently studying for my LEED AP in the new commercial construction division of the LEED program and the amount of information that the USGBC requires to achieve a credit in division is pretty daunting.  Also each section has required prerequisite you must meet and you must meet every prerequisite to even be considered for certification.  Your next step if you want to pursue LEED certification for your home would be to go to the first website provided below and find the contact personnel for your area, explain to them that you are interested in applying for LEED certification, and then if the give you the green light read all of the information included in the second as that link is the specific requirements to receive LEED certification.  Also the LEED point of contact for your area will be able to definitively tell you whether or not your home will meet the criteria for certification.
