  1. they would take the eye out of ur head and come back 4 the hole if u didnt watch them     leave nothing down

  2. Well you could lift a finger to type into Google,

    CIA facts BARCELONA,

Type in www.angloinfo.com  and then sift across to BARCELONA/Catalonia.

There you will have more than you ever wanted to know about Barcelona and where it is.

Best go see Dali's house on the coast nearby...

  3. Great city, very hot and busy in summer.

Some great places to eat and a rich history, also some good nightlife.

  4. Where in Spain - Catalunya. Easiest to look on a map.

Landscape - it's right by the water, somewhat surrounded by hills.

Typical foods - some of the most amazing food in the world. no matter your preferences. fresh seafood, jamon, etc. you really have to try very hard to find a bad place!! some of my favorite restaurants: el ultimo agave (not entirely sure where this is, can get the address if you're going and want to go there), anywhere on calle verde in gracia (especially for shwarma and turkish/lebanese food), down in barceloneta: champaneria (get cava and hot sandwiches, yum!) and lots of seafood.

Attractions - Gaudi, of course, it's everywhere and amazing. Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, etc. Also, the old parts are awesome to wander around (the cathedral is great). There's also amazing shopping, stuff you will not find anywhere else, and tons of shoe stores. Also, the beach, Olympic Park, CosmoCaixa (science museum), etc. You really can't run out of stuff to do and see!

Festivals - La Merce in September is the main one I saw, it's great! All the streets close down and everyone just goes dancing through them, lots of concerts, etc.

Weather - pretty much amazing. From august til november it's still pretty warm, in winter it's rainy a bit, the months of june and july are pretty brutally hot (and there's not much AC) but you just go to the beach!

I love Barca...lived there for a while and can't wait to go back! I highly recommend visiting, it has something for everyone!

  5. Read the 'Time Out' guide to Barcelona.

  6. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barcelona

    read all about it =]

  7. It's amazing, go there, you have to see it for yourself.

  8. I live in Barcelona. It's on the coast and so has great beaches. Not only in the city buy if you catch the train there are some good beaches both north and south.

The weather is mild at the moment, about 18oc but in summer we usually get to the thirties or even higher.

There are some great sights to look at especially the works of Gaudi and Dali, there's also the Picasso museum if you like art. It's worth buying a ticket and travelling on the tourist bus around the city as you can jump on and off when you like and there's also discounts to places. I'd also recommend a trip to the football stadium and you can take a helicopter trip if you feel like it. the ramblas is a great street to walk down with all kids of street artist, it has a bit of a reputation for pickpockets but personally i've never had any problems and if you're sensible neither will you. The food here is fantastic there are all kinds of restaurants and you must try the sea food platters, which are huge and impossible to finish.

One of the good things about living here is that at this time of year it's also possible to go skiing, a few hours drive to the prynees and you've got soem great ski runs.

  9. Cathedral is nice...
