Can baby monitors pick up E.V.P???

Question

When I put my baby to bed at night I turn his monitor on and bring the parent unit down stairs with me. After a couple of hours I start to hear something moving around in his room and heavy breathing through the monitor. I know for a fact the baby is asleep as I've just been up to check him and the door is closed so its not the dogs!! If it is not supernatural any idea's what it could be??

I was able to hear a clear conversation on my child's baby monitor- it is a video monitor, couldn't see anything but orbs, but heard a full on, clear as day conversation between my son and his deceased grandfather.  I know it wasn't interferance or TV, the words being spoken were directed towards my son, "how is preschool," "do you like potty training?"  "OK, go to bed now, time for sleep..."  and my son would respond back.  Creepiest thing ever.

The next day, without prompting, he told me grandpa visited him last night and that he often visits.
