Can baliffs come into my boyfriends house??? please help?

I have debt, im not working as i have a 1 year old son but i dont claim benefits because my boyfriend supports us. This morning a baliff turned up at the house (i hid) and they posted a letter through saying they would come back and take my processions. The rented house is only in my boyfriends name and he pays for it and all the bills. My name is only on one thing - the telephone bill. Iv been crying all morning. I dont want a lecture i just need to know if they can enter my boyfriend s house and take his things??? I want to pay the debt back but they wont take installments and theres no way i can afford to pay it all back in one go. Please help

If the house is in your boyfriend name than they shouldn't able to come in or take his staff.

If they do come in and start taking stuff, they would need to prove that you own the stuff, things like the TV, Fridge, Laptop/Hi-Tect stuff.

Most bailiffs would help out with a weekly/monthly payment plan.

this is what my boyfriend told me...say the phone bill you owe is £300 , a bailif company can find out that your not paying. they will then phone your phone line company (orange for e.g) and say weel give you £200 to pay of (miss davis) sorry dont no ur name:)  bill. so then the phone company at least has some money,and usually except! now its the bailifts money so the bailifts come, and are alloud to take items from your home for the value of how ever much you owe...BUT! if you ring your phone company NOW! (just say yourverry sorry but you just dont have the money to pay it...) they will put you on a payment plan...one you can afford!! after this is when they call the bailifts and give them there £200 back, because now they know they will get the full amount of you eventually. sorry if this seemed a lil confusing. im not a verry good writer lol . email me if theres anything you dont understand. but RING THE PHONE COMPANY NAW!!!!!!:D xx

first i think you should calm down.

does your boyfriend know about your debt?

i havnt got much knowledge in this area but i think that they shouldnt be able to take his stuff just yours
