Question:

Can baseboards and doors differ in color?

currently we have vintage antique white doors, and would love to do off-black base boards. do you think this will look okay? what if we were to use the off-black on the doors, and the antique white on the trim (including door casing? would that look better? the doors are a two-panel raised moulding door, looks very antique.

  1. I think it would look cool, just remember that houses with neutral colors sell easier, so if you ever needed to sell the house, you may have to change it back.

    You also should just paint a small section to see if you like it, so it can be easily changed if you decide it doesn't look like what you expected.
