  2. Battery Failure, no way at all from a simply tow. Battery discharge, yes! As others have stated you or the towing company could have left something on which discharged the battery. One other scenario is if you have a underhood or trunk light it could have been turned on by the vehicle being on a severe angle such as being towed, as these are generally activated by a mercury switch. Even if both of these lights were on it would take a long time to discharge the battery to the point of calling it "failed".

  4. I wouldn't think so,unless the car was dropped hard and the battery exploded...even this would be rare.
