Can bees cross breed with each other?

the reason I ask is because last night a honey bee got in to my moms room while I was watch a movie and when I looked at it when it was on my leg it kind of looked crossed between a honey bee and a wasp

  3. With other strains of honeybee, yes, but not with (for instance) bumblebees or wasps.

  4. There are about 19,000 known species of bee, a similar number of species of wasps and a good many more of each that we have yet to discover and catalogue.

    And as for cross breeding YES! Great example;

    Africanized bees are the result of cross breeding between African honeybees and European honeybees
