  1. I don't see why it can't. I'm not sure in what sense you mean, but I suppose it could.

Edit: for the person below me. I'm a female vegetarian underweight... and actually vegetarians are slimmer and more leaner than meat eaters in general.

  2. It will make you thinner, since you are not having as much fat and calories in your diet.

If you are fat, that is your fault usually, unless the issue is something really medical (it happens).

But if you eat healthy and eat the right food then you will be fine.

Like you can't have pizza everyday, nor would I suggest a salad each day.

But if you eat healthy, it will just make you more thin I believe.

  3. Every female vegetarian I've ever known has been fat. They eat sweets and don't have the energy to exercise.

  4. It may or it may not. There are many factors that can and will affect how you will age. Genetics is one, environment is another. Work and stress levels can affect you too.

  5. There is NO reason whatsoever that you should not be a vegetarian while you are young. I have 3 cousins who are all vegetarian (Ages 4,8,and13) and they are as slim as can be. You just have to make sure that you stay away from constantly eating sweets, make sure you exercise like any normal person, and just eat regular stuff. Substitute meat for other things like tofu or just focus on cutting it out. Once you get into the habit of knowing which meals you like to make just stick to it and you will be just fine :)

  6. Absolutely. Vegetarians are slimmer, healthier, and more vibrant. We have energy, great skin, and look young for our age. Veg kids are happy with rosy cheeks and bright clear eyes. Veg babies hardly cry or get sick.

All this will only work, though, if one knows a bit about nutrition. Being vegetarian is much more than giving up meat. There is a transition period, and it takes time to adjust. Many people give up too quickly, cause it feels awful at first, just like the first few days of an exercise program...but if you stick to it, what a difference!

  7. All I know is that true Vegans' have a grey skin tone due to a lack of protein in their body.

I work in a cancer research facility caffitteria and this was research done by a group of our nutritionalists.

  8. it depends on if you become  a healthy vegetarian or an unhealthy vegetarian.  one vegetarian could eat cookies, junkfood, lots of breads and pastas and no vegetables.

another vegetarian could eat lots of leafy greens, fruits, nuts, and no junk food, and every single vegetable you can imagine.

I'd opt to be the second vegetarian.

  9. your skin will just be getting healthier don't worry

  10. Possibly, as you will, hopefully have been eating a healthy vegetarian diet.

Someone here has answered that all female vegetarians are fat... well o my god.. that's ridiculous, I have 3 vegetarian daughters, none fat, and I've been vegetarian for 30 years, vegan for 6 months, and I'm DEFINITELY not fat.

In fact, I put the way my body looks and works, down to my diet.

So there you go doubters grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
