My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected s*x for about 2 months. Ive been using the Natuaral birthcontrol "FAM" I read that book taking charge of your fertility. Anyways, I ended my period a week and a half ago but when i went to cheer camp for college, I started spotting. Like a pantliner lasted the whole day. that lasted for two and a half days. I dont think im pregnant because im ovulating right now, i took an HPT and OPK this morning. HPT was neg and OPK positive. My b***s are pretty sore and i feel a little dizzy lately and pretty tired like i always need a nap. Im just confused. Maybe it was too early to test but i also know you cant ovualte while pregnant. what do you think? I was at camp for 3 days... could being around so many women affect my cycle? i heard that from someone.

  1. Sorry but those symptoms sound like pregnancy symptoms.

People swear that girls that are around can get in sync for a cycle, but I don't think it would make your b***s sore.

Also, that type of birth control is really meant for those in a committed relationship that could have an "oops" moment.  I'd suggest going back to a better form of protection until you graduate.

  2. It can affect your cycle, but usally not that quickly.  There is always the possibility of spotting when an egg has been fertilized.  Wait a few weeks until the due date of your next period and see what happens.

  3. Yes, my entire 6th form class of girls was on the same cycle all the time. I feel pretty bad for the teachers; there were 30 of us all having PMS in the same week!!!

If you got a +OPK then yes, the tenderness is from ovulation and you're not pregnant. There is no such thing as a 'safe time' in your cycle so DO NOT use the FAM method for family planning if you're not trying to get pregnant. Please be sensible about this. The smallest thing can delay ovulation so that you might think you're safe but you're not. Stress, travel to another time zone, all sorts of dumb stuff can lengthen your follicular phase and mess your cycle up and then when you least expect it ... BAM you're pregnant.

I don't know how old you are, but if you're going to camp with girls, the chances are you should NOT be getting pregnant any time soon, OK?! Best of luck xoxoxox

  4. Yes it can. When I was in college all of the girls had their periods the same week. Poor guys!

  5. yes it is, when u around females for long time ur cycles start coming at the same time so yes it is possible

  6. Yes it can affect you but it is only over a longer period of time. And if you're the one on the pill it's usually the girls who aren't on the pill who will change more to your cycle and the changes are gradual. Are you maybe just dehydrated, especially after 3 days of constant activity. I would try not to worry yourself until you actually miss a period.

  7. These are all symptoms of ovulation, so don't worry unless you miss your period!
