  1. no, not at all--my daughter is 5.5 months old and we are doing one shot at a time, a couple shots are maybe a month off, but there is no deadline for these shots--you are the parent, you are in control. the dr just have certain months for the shots so they  have a guideline--i have some friends who have a 2 year old son and he has had NO shots at all yet....your son will be fine

  2. Try to possess as much information as you can maybe is one option, however it is time consuming, here is the one i have ever had good experience with.http://health-insurance.online-tips4u.in...

  3. The same exact thing happened with my son and you are fine! Just don't let the doctor give all the shots at once. Try and spread them out over a couple of weeks so that your son doesn't have too much of a reaction to them.

  4. This one's near and dear to me:

No way, is it not bad to be behind on shots! Right now, there's so much research to be done by the parent wether or not to even partake of inoculations! I urge you to educate yourself (BEYOND what the health department recommends, please!) as to the effects, more importantly, ingredients of these vaccines. Only then, would I make an informed and prayerful decision as to which vaccines I would let my children receive. Your children are not cattle!! Don't treat them as such! God be with you.

  5. Ask your doctor about the max time between shots...Sometimes if its a multi-part vaccine you need to do the follow-ups shots within a certain window.

  6. It won't harm him but it just means e needs that many more shots.  You should talk to the Dr. and see when you can get them in intervals just so he isn't getting so many shots at once.

  7. Not really.  The timelines for shots are more like guidelines.  Call a new pediatrician to ease your concerns, they will likely give the shots on the first visit or split them up if you prefer.  Also most states now have child health care plus for those without insurance and even local pediatricians that receiving coupons for families without insurance or will work out a payment plan.  Best of Luck.

  8. That will be a matter of opinion for lots of people.  But there are some drs actually beginning to advocate that there are too many shots for little ones that they need to be spread out.  So he's probably going to be alright.  You'll get him caught up.  Food for though. . .sometimes the states have a program where you can pay a small fee and get the shots at a clinic.  Obviously these are created for lower income families but when my oldest son was a baby my ped sent us to the county because we were unemployed and had no insurance.  It was my understanding at the time that anyone could come in.  You might just check on that and see if he can get caught up now.

    God Bless.
