I was in a fairly new building (dont know the history) and my spine went cold for a few seconds. This never happened before or since

  1. Interesting. There may be a trigger, but my experience can't confirm or deny.

Late one night I awoke suddenly, covered in hard goosebumps. I was WIDE awake, wondering what woke me, and where the goosebumps fit in. The house was quiet, as was the dog, sleeping. I waited for something to happen, knowing that goosebumps are a sign of paranormal activity. Within 3 minutes, a black rectangular shape resembling a fluttering flag floated out of one wall near the ceiling and drifted over my bed and vanished into the opposite wall. At that moment, the goosebumps faded completely. I'm still mystified as to any meaning, and the rest of the night passed normally. I slept well. There was enough light in the room to make out details.

Things like this is why I enjoy studying the paranormal.

  2. No, you are grasping at straws.

A strange physical sensation does not equal being given the gift of magical powers.

  3. In the "anything is possible" mode of thinking, the default answer to such questions is always "yes". But based on what we can know via controlled testing, observation and theory, there is no support for places being haunted and only debatable evidence for tiny effects which are presumed to be due to psi.

Our body temperatures, and even more our perception of our body temperature, can fluctuate with our mood, especially anxiety or fear. That's probably all that was.

  4. depends if you have ever watch the show a haunting on discovery they have special equipment to trigger the spirt

  5. How big does the location need to be?  How about as big as Earth?  Earth is all, and everything begins and ends here for humans.  Therefore all that has come before,  including our 89 Billion year old grampa can come through our imaginations to us today.  No one is immune to psychic phenomena, it is what makes us human.  You can be a skeptic all that you desire.  It will make no difference upon the bed of passing.

  6. I see no reason to label that as paranormal. If it were a cold sensation along with an experience, perhaps, but alone no. Also just b/c the building is new does not mean anything. Some say burial grounds, battle fields, etc.

  7. in my experience, some people who have never had anything happen to them can have an experience, doesn't make you become a psychic. I think when it usually happens it's because the spirit is a lot stronger.

  8. It can, but I doubt this qualifies.

  9. I believe there is no connection between the perceived ghost and the imagined ability.

  10. No.  Do not delude yourself based on a cold sensation in your spine.
