Can belly button piercing infection lead to complications like losing the ability to have children..?

Because I was told that since the belly button is closest to the uterus, a severe infection can cause losing the ability to have children. Is this possible or it's just a stupid story which people like to make up for most of the piercings? I'm just curious :) Thanks

It sounds like a good story, but it is not true.
