Okay, okay.

I know that about twenty of you are going to freak out over a betta living with other fish, but chill for a minute...

I know bettas can live with Tetras, and sometimes angelfish and mollies....

And they all get along fine.

But... I want to know if bettas can successfully live in the same tank as zebrafish.

  1. you know it depends a lot on the betta-i had one did not get along with the other fish i had-and he did not care how big they were

  2. Betta are very aggressive fish so you need to make sure that you have a huge tank if you are going to put them with other fish.  Make sure that the kind of fish you are getting don't feed or dwell in the same area as a betta fish does.

  3. Freak out about Betas being with other fish?! Nahhhh, lol. It's okay for Betas to be with Zebra Danios. I know that for a fact and because i have mine with my 3 Zebras. And yup, your right, they can live with Tetras and Mollies. But, they can actually live with a big selection of fish. I have my Male Beta with: Tetras,Danios,Corydoras,Barbs, and Plecos.

So no worries, that whole " oh beta fish can't live with any other fish",or," you know I wonder why they call them, Siamese FIGHTING fish?!?!" it's not completely true. =] Good Luck X ]

  4. hi.. i have a long tail beta and just recently put him in with my 4 zebra danios (3 female and one male) 3 white clouds... (2 female and one male) and i have about 7 neons tetras in there... he seems okay and is getting along fine with the others.... he's just much bigger than the others cuz he's an old beta... but he looks happy... as long as he's happy and no one is bother him... and if he's not bothering anyone... i'd leave him there.....

did you know that a school of female beta's can live together..? because they are usually raise together when they are small... i have 3 different female betas and one crown tail beta living all together in the same tank.. they look peacefull.... if you ever wanna decided to keep females and one male together... it works great and he should feel like a king...

you could actually tell if your fishes are actually happy or not because they do look happy when they feel happy... :)

  5. i would not recommend keeping them with angelfish and mollies as they will nip the fins

if you mean zebra danios (google image search it) it should be fine

    tetras

    and

    corydoras

    are also fine

remember get at least 6 zebra danios to form a school
