  1. Your credit file is available to any business that has a legal interest in it (they pay a fee every time they pull it up).  Since the collector has a legit interest in your credit, they collector can belong to the credit agency and gain access.  Many people can gain access to your report without your consent (if you get credit card mailings, that is usually how the companies get your name and address).  Credit reporting is a commercial service that companies rely on to grant credit.

  2. ANYONE can monitor you as long as they have access to your Social Security Number.

  3. They aren't suppose to.You are suppose to give consent.

does that not hurt your credit rating?i thought everytime you checked it ..they would deduct points?

I thought you always had to give permission.I learned something new.

  4. yes
