Are pool parlours (with no bar) as good as or better than bars and pubs for dating? Can you meet higher quality women there?

  1. Poolrooms, per se, are not the best place to take a date unless she plays pool. However, the more upscale "Sports Bars" have a lot more to offer... pool, darts, cable TV, board games. And their menu consists of much more than burgers and fries. At least the ones in my area do.

  2. There's a difference between taking a date to a pool hall and meeting women at a pool hall.  If a woman likes to play, then I say it's a fine idea for a date.  I find that it's easy to get to know someone over a few games.  Conversation just flows very easily for me with a cue in hand.  Be careful not to try to give too much advice and coaching, though.  Unless, they specifically ask for you opinion, I'd just as soon let them shoot around.  As an instructor, I've learned to switch off my "teacher mode".  Now, meeting women at a pool hall is another matter.  Very often you'll see groups of women in a pool hall.  Too many guys think this is an invitation to just go right up and start putting the moves on them.  Most of the women I know who go to the pool hall just want to play pool with their girlfriends unbothered.  Just like everyone else, they're paying by the hour, so they really don't need a bunch of horny guys wasting their time.  That's the real difference between bars and pool halls.  In my opinion, everyone's fair game in a bar, within reason.  Happy hunting.  Maybe one of us will get lucky and run into Jasmin Oushan.  I can dream.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  3. If you meet any women at all at a pool parlour, they will not like men if you get my drift... Bars are more likely to have women, pubs too.

If you want "higher quality" women you shouldn't be going to the "low quality" bars and pubs, let alone a pool parlour. Look for some fancy shmancy dining outlet or sushi bars. Cafés are good too. If you want a sophisticated, well-educated and worldly woman, don't go to a pool parlour/pub or sleezy bar.

Higher expectations, higher investment, more outcome imho

That means investment of time and money ;P
