  1. When you say "last longer" do you mean:

      Shelf life...or

      Increased miles driven...or

      Conservation of natural resources....

When I first read the question I thought you were considering the trade-offs with biofuels..  For instance we can grow corn for ethanol, but the trade off is higher food costs and food shortages.  It also requires petroleum for fertilizers, petroleum for refining corn to ethanol, and petroleum to transport it.

However we are at the very early stages of bio-industries.  In the near future it will be possible to make biofuel grade ethanol in your backyard with micro refineries which use sugar in a refrigerator sized appliance.  Boeing airlines says that it hopes to be flying jets on bio jet fuel.  This will be done with oilgae, or bio-diesel made from algae.  This fuel will use sunlight and carbon dioxide to produce oil.  Yes, it will reduce greenhouse gases to make diesel.

Anyway you look at it biofuels have a future.  (Just not from our food crops.)

  2. With the proper storage, your grand children's grandchildren will be able to put this in their vehicle and run on it without a single problem.

  3. i do not believe so.

but you would have to research that to find out for sure.

  4. It would last longer than gasoline but not diesel.  Some components of gasoline evaporate fairly rapidly and leaves behind varnish after a couple of months in the tank , while diesel oil is quite stable.  Vegetable oils decompose over time but they do have a pretty long shelf life.

  5. Do you mean mileage? no.you get 3 to 5 miles a gallon less depending on type of vehicle it is.
