  1. They in general have the same range.  However the quality of the oil used in creating Bio-Diesel  can cause small variances.  If you did not realize Diesel engines were invented to run on Bio-Diesel.  Then petroleum was found to be cheaper to produce.

Running on straight vegetable oil decreases millage slightly.

  2. It depends! What vehicle and ect.

In general you will only receive a slight increase in Bio-Diesel compared to No.2 Diesel. The reason is the cetane rating (octane) is a little higher in Bio-Diesel. Also it has more lubricity than the current (low sulfur) diesel. If you really want to help the environment and get HUGE gains in fuel mileage. Install a propane injection kit to your vehicle or if you are mechanically inclined you can build your own. This is NOT designed to run off the propane but only inject a small amount as an accelerant. This should give 3-5 mpg better mileage and all but eliminate "black smoke". These are really great on Bio-Diesel.

I know this is not exactly what you asked but it is the best I can do with the information provided.

  3. My mileage on #2 is 32,on B20 34,50% diesel an 50%wvo 37 mpg.

  4. Higher gas, smaller car.
