Sadly, I cannot keep my poor little birds I have cuhz of moving situations and I'm probably giving it away to my best friend.

But her dad (who is very familiar with birds) tells me that my birds may die real soon after i leave it with strangers .

and he tells me a story about his friend whos birds died from the same situation o_o ;

What am i suppose to do ?

It sounds a bit silly, but still! I dont wanna let my birds die :(

*note

I am planning to visit once in awhile to see my birds.

  1. slowly introduce your bird to your best friend when its is comfortable with him/her start going to her house and bring the bird so it could get used to its future environment after its settled close all exits to the room and leave the room if it starts to freak out then you obviously go back to the room and calm it down, if its all right then it probably wont die but leave your bird at your best friends house then keep on increasing the time you leave it there

  2. I believe so that any animal can. They just get that attachment to you. Just be sure to visit them often so they dont forget who you are!! Im sorry you have to let them go..Im sure it's hard to do.

  3. Yes birds can die from depression and sadness of being away from their owner. I suggest you keep them and work out your moving thing.

  4. I had to give my bird away too. It's still very happy and alive. I guess it's possible for a bird to feel sad and not eat, but I think your bird will be alright.

  5. maybe because they might die of being sad

  6. Well I am sure it happens in some cases....I mean animals do get attached to their owners but they can also get attached to other loving people. I am sure they will be fine after they adjust and plus you said you will visit every once and a while and if they are going to your friends house ...then you know they are in good hands. I'm sure she'll be happy to update you on their condition...don't stress :)

  7. im srry to hear that but personally im not an expert but i really dont think so and maybe if you dont put them in a stressful situation they probably wont die

  8. I doubt that'll happen.  My mom's friend's daughter had a baby and her bird was making too much noise and making the baby cry, so we adopted it. It's been a little over a year and the bird is really friendly and playful.
