i have two pet cockatiels and they enjoy preening my eyes, however my eyes have become really sore lately and my right eye hurts to keep open. i have a small amount of yellow stuff in the corner of my eyes each morning and my eyes have a few red lines too. could this be caused by the birds or could it be something else do you know. i also spend a massive amount of time on my laptop, but i do use it in a well lit room and at a distance. thx .

  1. you can get an eye infection from the dust off the birds wings but it sounds like you just have a eye infection it may be conjunctivitis go and let your doctor have a look.

  2. Yes, you can get eye infections from birds.  Suggest you see your GP as soon as possible to get your eyes checked out........eyesight is very precious !

You should also have periodic breaks from your laptop/PC......I believe the recommended break is after every 4 hours !

    Act now, don't delay !

  3. It is Proven that Birds can give eye infections. When the Birds are Preening your eyes, bacteria from the bird can get near your eye or into it, causing an infection. That yellow stuff by your eye, could be eye crusts from when you sleep too.

  4. yes !!!!! yOU MOST CERTAINLY CAN
