this may sound really weird but idk how else to put it .

well i love that whole scrunched hair look, and i always wanted to try it...but i think the reason why i only see my white/indian/chinese friends w/ scrunched hair is because only their type of hair can do that... i do have a perm if that means anything, but i just want to know if i can scrunch my hair and how to do it please ! thank you : )

  1. idk

  2. I don't think scrunching is good but i have a really good way to make your hair nice and shiny and bouncy and curly!

1.Take a curling cream and put in wet or towel dried hair.

2.then take 1" pieces and twist around finger

    3. then take a defusser and blow dry a little pointing the blow drier upwards from the tips. ( this will eliminate frizz before they occur from letting hair dry naturally)

    hope i helped:)

  3. First, wash your hair and do not use any products! towel dry and apply scrunching spray evenly to whole head! scrunch scrunch scrunsh(with head upside down) Then apply some hair spray and do the same..scrunsh upside down. Then apply spray wax and repat the process. Dry hair on a low, cool setting.

  4. It depends on your hair texture. Black people can have different textures when compared to other black people. As long as your hair can take products in then it should work.

  5. Yes!

Wash and condition hair. While hair is wet apply your product (a mousse or gel) I recommend Fantasia IC hair gel apply product generously

don't agitate the hair too much cuz you don't want to make it frizzy

just scrunch a bit then let hair air dry.

Once dry lightly spray with oil sheen and you're good to go.

If you want a really nice "scrunch and go look" wash and condition your hair AT NIGHT while hair is wet section hair into double strand twists (the smaller the better but don't sweat the size and the parts don't have to be precise) put some rollers on the ends or roll the ends up into the twist

tie on scarf allow to dry overnight (comes out much better if you sit under a hood dryer)

in the morning take the twist out with your fingers

your hair will be wavy and curly don't brush or comb use your fingers to move and style (to prevent frizzing) then spray on some light oil sheen

    it will look so nice!!

  6. Yes gurl, you can scrunch your hair!! Just because you have a perm doesnt mean you cant do the scrunch. The one thing about us AA wether we are mixed or not, our natural hair texture is wavy. When we get a perm it straightens, but if you do notice when it air dries from being wet, we still retain or natural curl pattern.

I wish I could see your hair, but what I do with mines is when I finish washing and condionting, I comb my hair with a wide tooth comb and gives a nice neat wave. I then put a gel of my choice in my hair and comb through. I then start to scrunch my hair, or push my hair from the bottom up, to enhance the wave pattern it will form when it dries. I  then wait awhile and do it again. and then when it fully dries, I have a nice wavy patter going. It looks really nice when your hair is thick. To spead up the process, I use a blowdryer (no nozzle) and direct heat while i scrunch. If your doing this with a perm, your roots may not wave up but your ends will. You can either pin your roots back or do your own creation. Its easy depending on how your hair scrunches.

Here is a pic of me with straight, and with the scrunch....
