I read the Amityville Horror book and after I started it, there's a few things that's been happening so I asked about it on here and a couple people told me the book was cursed and it was possibly attracting spirits to me. Like one night when I got to this certian part of the book, my dog which was lying down just let out a bark. It was night and no one was awake or outside or anything. it was 2 or 3 am. and when she barked, she was just staring straight ahead and when she barks at things, its usually an aggressive bark, but this bark sounded more like a defensive bark, if that makes sense. she's never done this before, not once. then later on that night i was still reading and i looked back to see if my dog was sleeping (she usually is at that time) but she wasnt, she was just staring into mid-air for a while til i called her. also my body's been feeling somewhat weak and stuff, i keep getting these headaches. i get really hot and sweat ALOT sometimes evne when no one else is.

  1. 1.I am a witch!

that said we witches put spells on objects. Now i dont know who the previous owner was but if she practiced "low magick" known as black magick , he /she could put a spell or bind a daemon for her own purposes until everything got out of control and she decided to sell it on ebay.

    2. our own energy can play head games with us. For example i read adventure , romantic books sometimes and afterwards reading i feel very adventurous and romantic , so i guess if you are reading Amityville Horror if you are something who likes to visualize whats is happening in the story , then that means you are releasing this eerie kind of energy around you. YES , visualization is powerful we magick practitioners use it for our spells and rituals , what happens is that thought move energies and therefore the energies can trigger certain events to happen, depending on your intention , in this case GHOSTS!

Solution: if you feel the thing is coming from the book , just make a prayer saying that you release the spirit /daemon from the book and your house in the name of jesus , even if you dont believe in him , hes there to help you ! if it still continue get rid or it or burn it , but it can also mean that it is you who is creating all these things around you , so just try not to get overemotional with this book so that your energies dont go aorund creating "sightings "

  2. Actually I have something that whenever I look at it, it instills mortal terror on me.  My driver's licence photo.

  3. So basically you're saying you've been reading a scary book and now you feel scared?

Whatever you do don't read one of those medical books that describes all the diseases and the symptoms or next week you will be back on here posting that you think you have pneumonia, gout, shingles and Alzheimer's.

  4. Yes, possession can happen but not from reading a book you bought in the local book store. Curse / spell in this case is unlikely unless the book is 2nd hand in which case the previous owner nay have cursed all those who read it.

  5. i know a doll can..made my sick for 3 days, my mom thought i was goin to die..my grandma threw the doll and 5 minutes i was feeling ok and could walk by my own

  6. you are in panic that can't  be true your mind is playng with you cos you are thinkink on the book all the time and u think u are under curse read the book to the end, and do not return it till then cos if the book is realy under spell u are too and id you returned nothing will chance. i had the samo problem but i do not give up i read the book and in the end it was all fine

  7. Not books but i have noticed antique furniture and old things contain bad vibes like they are haunted by a spirit. That favorite old chair you bring into the house could bring a spirit with it.Someone died in that chair.

  8. well this is psychological read surah rahman in quran it will calm you down ,it always calms me down when i am afraid.there are jinn which god says he created out of fire and there are evil and good jinn

  9. Perhaps when we read things like that we become a little more preceptive and aware and notice things more.

  10. Surely you don't still have this book in your house.Take it back to wherever you got it from. Something similar happened to me when I brought some old paranormal books home from the library. My dog also growled at something. This seems like De Javu. I think you've asked this same question before. I hope you took the book back and that these things stopped happening.

  11. I've read the book several times, and I've never had any bad experinces associated with it.

  12. This is like the 3rd or 4th time you've posted this.

Read another book and see what happens.

The story behind that book was fraudulent; they made it up.

So now you're paranoid over a fairy tale.

  13. Even many true believers acknowledge that the Amityville Horror story is fiction.  It was created and promoted just to sell the book.  Follow link for more info:

Your experience is a good example of the power of suggestion.  You read a book that describes a haunting and then soon after you experienced something paranormal.

The weakness/headache/sweating you describe can either be a psychosomatic response to reading the book or else it could be a real physiological condition that has nothing to do with the book, but which you blame on the book.

Can books be haunted?  No, but people can.

  14. It might just be that you are to into the book. However, if you feel like the book is bringing bad feelings or actions to you, you might consider getting rid of it. There is no reason to encourage negative energy in my opinion. I hope that this is somewhat helpful.

  15. Something similar happened to me once in the 1970's. I did not have the money to go see The Exorcist, so I bought the book and read it. I worked graveyard shift so I stayed awake late night on my days off so as not to disturb my work pattern.

It was 4:00 am hot summer so I had my door open reading the book and man it was scary much more so than the movie, then all of a sudden there was this loud KNOCK! KNOCK!, " ARE YOU ALRIGHT IN THERE?'

My dog who was asleep beside me started barking.

It was not a curse or ghost. It was the nosy 80 year old lady across the street who woke up saw my windows and door open and she grabbed her .45 like she always did and came over to see if I was okay. She meant well, but no one could do anything without her coming over to see what we were doing even at the wee hours in the morning.

  16. No, nothing can. Unless it comes out of a Harry Potter novel or the like.
