a smile   hope ur turtle likes it

  2. yes but it is better for them to eat cabbage

  3. Box turtles diets should not include onions. They can eat earth worms, slugs, squash, apples, berries, bananas, collard greens, hard boiled eggs and plain cooked chicken. They also can be fed pet store land turtle food but not exclusively. They are individuals and will chose what they like. Hope this helps. I have been hatching and raising turtles for 30 years.

  4. first of all no they dont eat onoins they have zero nutrional value and second you need to release that poor turtle ...no turtle should be wild caught and put into captivity so do it a favor and spare its life

  5. NEVER FEED ANY ANIMAL ONIONS THEY ARE TOXIC TO ANIMALS BODIES AND CAN KILL THEM IN JUST A FEW MINUTES!!!!!!

  6. Onions are no good for any animal, they are toxic to them so dont give them any, try lettuce, cabbage and other veges but not onion! :)

  7. hi im a vet tech/vet assistant and onions or anything like that is bad for a turtle. The best thing i would say to do is go to a wal mart or something and get turtle food. If you cant do that give him romaine lettus.  Head lettus is BAD for all animals

  8. no way

it has a weird acid thats supposably really bad for them.

    lettuce is way better

  9. No, there is nothing nutritious about onions for them.  Here is a link to complete box turtle care.  You will have to supply a very large enclosure for him...they need lots of room to roam.  They need heat lamps, reptile UVB lights (both need to be on for 12 hours a day...use timers to develop a good day/night cycle).  They need bowls of water that they can climb in and out of easily.  They need a wide variety of plants, fruits, and proteins.  They also need calcium and vitamin supplements.  Turtles and tortoises are not easy to keep and maintain, so if you can't supply everything for him it is best to release him back into the wild.  :)
