i'm a 17 year old female...i'll be 18 in february. my mom hasn't been able to afford braces but i need to get them soon, before my senior year is over(hopefully). but i was wondering if i can still fix my jaw at this age and my overbite as the braces also fix my crooked teeth. or am i too old?...i don't wanna have to have surgery

  1. Yea you can still fix them.. braces are supposed to help overbites as well... You will need to use the rubber bands though.. you know the ones that go on the sides of your teeth..

  2. braces can defiantly fix an overbite. I had an overbite and I got braces (still have them only got them 2 years ago) and my overbite is already gone! I've seen adults (male and female) with braces, even old people!

  3. yeah the braces themselves straighten teeth and they will prob. give you rubber bands to help fix your overbite thats what i got

  4. Na, ur fine, you can get braces at any age.  My great ant whose 82 recently got braces (i don't know why to be honest, i don't think she has too much time left, i'm terrible)
