  1. This might sound a bit crazy, but try a whiteboard marker pen.  When permanent markers are used on whiteboards, writing over it with a whiteboard pen, (which uses water-basked ink), breaks down the ink of the permanent marker and the residue can be easily wiped away.  I'm a teacher and I've seen this done many times!  A whiteboard surface is much like a plexi-glass surface, so it is quite possible it will have the same effect.

I've never heard of brasso being used to remove ink, so I couldn't really comment on its effectiveness.

    Hope this helps!

  2. Try hairspray on a rag. This works well on hard non-porous surfaces.

  3. Brasso will leave the plexiglass badly scratched since it contains an abrasive. You can try nail polish remover (acetone), but that might leave the plexiglass clouded.

  4. try arm and hammer magic erasers....   it really is magic.

  5. use Bestine..  its made for plexiglass.  it will rinse it right off and not hurt the plexi.

I only use permanent markers because its so easy to remove.

You can also use a fast evaporating lacquer thinner as long as it wasn't flamed.   Ex. would be bullet resistant glass that is used in banks,  credit unions  party stores.

  6. Try alcohol or non-acetone nail polish remover. Even the magic sponges are impregnated with a microscopic abrasive, so be careful with those.
