Can buff orpington chickens fly?

can our buff orpington chickens fly when they get older? they seem to jump pretty high and flap there wings and i read somewhere that SOME bantams can fly.

All chickens can fly - just not very well.

They can't fly away per se, but they can fly up to roost - not more than probably 5-6 feet, though.

And they can't fly away in terms of flying long distances.  It's mostly, if they jump down from the roost they can fall gracefully by flapping their way down.
