Can bulimia cause soreness around the ribs?

Question

if someone threw up 3 times in one day, would that cause soreness at the rib area? thank you....!

Yeah, I would think so from all of the force of heaving that you have to do.

Yes it can. You may be using certain muscles in your upper torso that are not normally used so much. It depends on how the person inducing vomiting achieves it. Secondly, it's important to get this pain checked out as soreness may not be due to muscles but damage to the stomach or esophagus from repeated exposure to stomach acid. Finally, in rarer cases, frequent vomiting can cause very low blood potassium levels which can affect the heart, so it's important to rule out any cardiac involvement in this rib/chest pain.

um generally it can. but it depends on how long the person has been doing it. its not one of the better known side effects but anyway

More likely to get sore throats cuz of the whol throwing up thing. Stomach acids etc.
