Can bunnies and rabbits be spayed and neutered?

Okay, so I might get a male and female rabbit but I don't want to get multiple bunnies popping out of the mom. Is there a certain way I can get my female "spayed" and the male "neutered"?

Yes.  But it's not very common.  And not all bunnies respond well.  I had a male and a female.  I got them both fixed.  My boy did very well, but my girl died a few hours after the procedure.  )-:

YES, IN FACT IF YOU GET A MALE, UNLESS YOU PLAN TO BREED YOU SHOULD GET HIM SPAYED OR HE WILL BECOME IRRITABLE AND VICIOUS. YOU CAN GET A RABBIT NEUTERED AT A HUMANE SOCIETY TOO!

I would get the male fixed because they can become VERY aggressive when they're ready to mate...I've seen them attack everything from socks to cats lol.

You would have to find a small animal vet, as that has been pointed out.

Yes you can have your rabbits altered.  You just have to find a vet that will do it.  Look up the exotic vets in your area and start there.  Good luck!

yes, but i would just neuter the male. bunnies have a funky circulatory and respiratory system and a simple spay might be too stressful for her. so, if u do get a boy and a girl, clip the boy. the recovery will be fast and almost no stress.

Yes you can.  not every vet does though.  I'm pretty sure that you can get it done at the Humane Society.
