Can bursitis develop into something more serious ?

On certain joint (shoulders /hips and the like)

you have a "cushion"

all it does is protect your flesh from the bone sticking into it.

you hips has several of them.

they are called Bursa's they can get inflamed (bursitis)

although it cases allot of pain it is  not damaging the joint.

some times med's can help  I take certain herbs

sometimes exercises help.

for some who can not stand the pain they get them taken out.

but everyone I know who has had that done are in just as much pain now as the flesh around the area now does not have that cushion  

I have never seen it develop into something else

I've had it and agree with the first poster's Comments...I rang NHS Direct and was told where possible to rest the affected part of the body...sometimes easier said than done but it works...
