  2. yes. keep ur legs straight or it works ur soleus.

  3. Calf raises can help. Most leg lifts will if you do them explosively. Put something under your toes to elevate them. I used to use a 2x4. In a weightroom, use some plates. For jumping I prefer to let your heels hit the ground every time down so that you can be explosive on the way back up. If you want the best stretch use something high enough to keep your heels off the ground and lower the weight so you can still be explosive.

The better lift to be doing is squats. A lot of people think calf strength is the most important in jumping but most of the power comes from your hip and knee extension. Squats will help with jumping as well as all around athleticism. Read this http://jumphighest.blogspot.com Squat strength will allow you to use other training very effectviely too.

When I was 13, I added a foot to my vertical with nothing but calf raises and squats. When I was 15 I added plyometrics and got 8 more inches in less than two months. Do squats.

  4. They can help make you stronger, but the best way to improve vertical

is by doing plyometrics which is a combination of jump training using explosive movements, and stretching the muscle which in turn imrooves the muscle contraction which makes you jump higher in just a few weeks.

  5. yup
