Can callose formation lead to death of a plant or a plant part?

by death i mean actual death and not a hybernation kind of phase that the plant enters in the winters......

    No it does not result in actual death of plant . It is the sign of an injury that has healed

  2. Callus is fast growing undifferentiated cells and jence not dead cells. It wont cause tissue death, but gives life to tissue.
