  1. Absolutley not both have different seeds in tht only one or the other can eat! do your research please

  2. No they cannot.  Budgies eat much larger seeds than canaries.  Buy a good canary mix with grass seed and 'canary' seed.

Be sure to clip a small dark green leaf - bok choy, swiss chard, etc to the bars a couple times a week to give the canary vitamin A.

  3. no

  4. Yes your Canaries can eat the same seed as Budgies, but you do need to add a little extra Canary and Niger seed,to the mix.

They will eat Apple, Pear, and greens such as Broccoli, Kale,Spinach.Dandelion  leaves and seeding heads.

A good tonic is some of the above seeds soaked and sprouting.

  5. If it is the run of the mill seed that you can buy in any supermarket then the answer is Yes

  6. It completely depends....

Some of the seeds/fruit/nuts and things are interchangeable.  But, I have heard that some things that canaries eat can be toxic to budgies. (et vice versa).  With basic birdseed you should be fine, but be cautious feeding them fruits and things.

    hope this helps

  7. Yes they can, just like pit bulls and gray hounds can eat the same food.

  8. no, budgies have a seed mix especially for their nutritional needs and canaries have another.  its quite easy to see it at the petshop or supermarket, its labelled Canary Seed and Budgie Seed!
