Can carbon credits be generated by me if I give incentives to people for riding bicycles?

Can carbon credits be generated by me if I give incentives to people for riding bicycles (and thereby promoting alternative fuel vehicles which cause pollution)? Also, can carbon credits be generated by people who use bicycles, the no. of carbon credits being directly proportional to the number of miles the cyclist covers!!??

Carbon credits are something thought up by limousine libs, like Al Gore, so they can have a $2,000 a month electric bill or fly on a wasteful private jet and feel good about themselves doing it.  

By the way, the specific model Gulfstream Al Gore uses to jet set the world, is the worst private jet in the world for fuel economy, noise abatement and efficiency.

Spend your money on replacing light bulbs in your house with CF bulbs, a solar water heater and other ways to improve your own homes energy efficiency.  Talk you family into doing the same thing.  That is how you can make a real difference.

P.S. I also read something funny about bicycling the other day.  MIle per Mile, a bike is more harmful to the environment than a car, because riding causes the rider to eat more and thus does more harm to the environment.  That actually came from a recently released university study.

carbon credits are funny- the only people that think it actually works, are dumb, sandal wearing, hippies with kids called chloe or jack. Oh what the h**l with deforestation and chinese industry, lets just ride bicycles!

you wont get carbon credits for this. you only get them for preventing CO2 from entering the atmosphere or removing CO2 from it.
