Can carob powder be roasted?

I know the pods are roasted but was wondering about the raw carob powder that I have. The roasted carob tastes so much like chocolate that it is barely noticeable.

If it is already toasted, then you can't toast it again without burning it...

And toasting powder is REALLY hard... It almost always ends up being burnt.
