Can carpet cleaners get rid of dried on acrylic paint stains?

I was painting the walls of my bedroom and had lined the foot of carpet at the walls with plastic, but I somehow still managed to get it all over the rest of the carpet. I'm having a carpet cleaner in on monday, but I'm just curious as to whether he will be able to do anything about it or not. thanks for your help:)

If it's on the carpet VERY lightly, it might be possible to remove it, but I bet it won't make much of a difference.  I'm sorry.
