  1. Its the Vitamin A in the carrots that help your vision.

  2. yeah vitiam A helps with your vision but carrots can also help you

  3. Carrots contain beta carotine which is necessary for good vision.  However, most people get plenty of this in their diet with or without carrots.

There is strong evidence that certain eye diseases, macular degeneration in particular, are nutritionally based.  People who eat healthy (raw fruits and vegetables), particularly those high in leutein, vitamin A, and zinc are decreasing their risk for those diseases.

Unfortunately, no amount of nutrition will change your eyeglass prescription and decrease your need for glasses.

  4. Carrots’ antioxidant compound helps to protect against cardiovascular disease, cancer and also promote good vision, especially night vision.

  5. yes the beta carotene in them

  6. Nothing helps to improve your vision but you can certainly slow down further deterioration with carrots, pumpkin, blueberries, bilberries, corn, tomatoes and other foods that you can find in a web search for "vision enhancing foods".

Reducing your sugar intake would also help as sugar can weaken eyesight, cause myopia (nearsightedness) and can also cause cataracts.  See items 13, 54 and 68 (of items 1-146) in http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm which covers 146 reasons why sugar is ruining your health.
