  1. i don't think so, but i think i read somewhere they could see brown green and yellow, but I may be mistaken.

  2. My boss, a vet, says some breeds do.  We did a test a few months ago where we had several colors of laser beams.  The cats we were exercising all saw each of the colors and chased them equally.  BUT - one anomaly happened - the Maine Coons - and ONLY the Maine Coons, did not chase the red light...they didn't see it.  They looked for it, because the other cats were chasing it.  As soon as we changed colors, they began chasing it again.  I tried this at home, and the same thing happened.  I haven't thought about that in weeks, maybe I should try it again since we have a Maine Coon in the recovery unit that needs exercise.....

  3. Yeah im pretty sure.

  4. There are 2 answers. Most scientists claim NO, because of the rods or something in the eyes. However, I disagree. My cat seems to see color just fine, and fusses whenever I put bad colors together. Which I do just to annoy him.

  5. no well ,not like we can.

i cant think of the source now, but i did watch a show about it.

they see washed colors, mostly black and white.

like if you look at colors in poor lighting, you know it is a color, but not sure of the color.

cats " see" by movement. we would see a gray mouse on a white carpet, they would see a gray mouse on a gray carpet because it was moving. even if the only movement is breathing. they are more sensitive to movement then we are.

plus, their ears home in on sounds, unlike ours. and they use the sense of smell more then us.
